So many good things happening. Tomorrow Mayor Ellis and Police Jury President Shane Smiley will give update at our annual “State of Local Government” luncheon. This will be a great lunch.
Last week the Chamber announced our top 20 under 40 nominees. Over 60 nominations. Reading through all their nominations it makes you feel really good about our emerging leaders and our future. We will be announcing the winners on August 11th at an evening reception – if you want to have a great time at a great event contact Daphne Garrett. Our Ambassadors, Young Professionals and Leadership Class continue to move forward. The next Leadership Class will be at Ascent. Our committees are working hard, please be looking for more surveys and more information on a Cyber Security Workshop and a Social Media workshop. Last week you received a survey regarding your thoughts on a combined Chamber. If you haven’t filled that out, I ask you to please give us your feedback. I would also urge you to take the City’s Broadband survey.
